On, my word! How can I begin to tell you how much I gelled with these two? It was awesome being part of their once in a lifetime day. When I first met these two it was for their Warm-Up, AKA, Engagement Shoot that you can see here. And it was so cool. The images I got from them, ahhh! It was so energizing, and I knew their wedding day was gonna be awesome!
They are both living on a farm close to Ermelo, and the wedding was hosted at Kralinbergh Guest Farm. I think if that place could write a book, it would be as thick as the Bible! It is jaw-dropping beautiful in the country side of Ermelo and there is so much heritage there. It oozes timeless. The weather was perfect and everyone’s spirits were high.
Just before Kate did her walk down the isle she showed me her takkies (aka “trainers”, for those American’s out there) and told me she was gonna give them to Simon to let him know she wasn’t gonna run away. It just made me realise how fragile and also how strong we are in relationship with others. There is always a back door, but there is always a home. A place where the inside looks exactly the same as the outside. Where you are you and happy with you and you do this all together.
Ah, man! I cannot express how much blessing I would like to pour over you guys. You’re not a match made in heaven (not crazy about that saying), you are a match made by a decision you both made and this is your path forward. One decision, one choice, daily, step by step. I am so happy for you guys. Enjoy you photoees!!
