Sometimes things don’t always go according to our plans. Sometimes the thoughts and dreams we hold deep within our hearts don’t materialise and you get to a place and you just don’t get it.
You thought you had it all figured out, planned to the “T”. Everyone around you thought it was a great idea and said: “Go for it!”
And now you’re standing here, after walking up this steep mountain side, that took you days, maybe even years and you can’t see anything through this thick mist.
Does this sounds familiar? Can you also say you’ve been there. We hear these stories countless times. Great obstacles that seem insurmountable, pain you would never believe could subside and heal. Lies that you thought you could never stop walking in.
And then the sun comes out and everything is clear again.
How do we allow ourselves to get so despondent, so hopeless? The mountain is still the same. The sun is still there. The mist is temporary. Just like our feelings.
How can we remember? How can we remind ourselves of this truth?
“Faith is a place of mystery, where we find the courage to believe in what we cannot see and the strength to let go of our fear of uncertainty.”
― Brené Brown,
